The Estelle Trust is a registered charity supporting educational and cultural projects and programmes
The Estelle Trust was founded in 2003 by Nigel Farrow. It is a registered charity that supports a variety of educational and cultural projects and programmes. It works both independently using resources that it has helped to develop, and in partnership with established charities and public institutions that have similar aims.

From 2003 to 2024 the main focus for the Trust was the development of community schools in Zambia. The schools are an essential educational resource for Zambia’s exceptionally large population of orphans and vulnerable children. The Estelle Trust formed a local Zambian charity, the Bana Tandizo Foundation, which employed a small team of educational and development specialists who supervised the construction of school buildings, organised teacher training, and developed health and welfare programmes for the children. The projects were passed on to a local Zambian charity with strong educational credentials at the end of 2024.
From 2024, The Estelle Trust has largely focused on projects that develop and deliver education in the arts and humanities in the UK. From 2024, The Estelle Trust has largely focused on projects that develop and deliver education in the arts and humanities in the UK. This is a response to the weakening provision of education in these subjects at all levels of study from primary schools to universities, and the reduction in local and government funding of public museums, galleries and other arts institutions. In 2025 the Trust helped to establish Lund Humphries Foundation for Visual Arts. Working in partnership, the Trust and the Foundation are engaged in a long-term partnership which spreads the knowledge and enjoyment of the arts and humanities through the publication of educational books and the support of associated events and exhibitions at public museums and galleries.
The Estelle Trust works with selected partners and generally does not accept unsolicited requests for funding.
